ARTICLES OF FAITH
I. VERBAL INSPIRATION - We believe the Holy Scriptures, both the Old and New Testament to be the verbally inspired Word and Revelation of God, inerrant, infallible, and God-breathed. (Psalm 19:7-11; II Tim 3:16,17; II Peter 1:16-21; Luke 24:13-28; Jonah 1:1 - The King James Version shall be the translation used in every Sunday School class and in the pulpit.)
II. DEITY AND VIRGIN BIRTH - We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, that He was the incarnate Son of God, the second Person in the blessed Trinity, Very God of Very God, for whom and by whom all things were created. (John 1:1-14; John 14:9; Isa7:14; Matt 1:18-25; John 10:36).
III. THE TRINITY - We believe in the triune God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - three Persons. I John 5 1-8. The Holy Spirit is the infallible interpreter of the infallible Scriptures (John 16:7-15).
IV. BLOOD ATONEMENT - We believe in the substitutionary atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ, that He, by the grace of God, tasted death for every man and that all must be born again or are forever lost (Heb 2:9; John 6:44-69, John 3:1-18; Rom 3:25; Rev 1:5; Heb 1:22; I Peter 1:18,19).
V. RESURRECTION - We believe in the bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and that he ascended bodily into the heavens and is now at the right hand o God as our Mediator, priest and Advocate. (Acts 1:9, 10; John 20; Heb 9:24; I Cor 15:12-28; Acts 3:12-26).
VI. JUSTIFICATION BY FAITH - We believe that man is justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. (Rom 5:1) We are not saved by works but unto good works. (Eph 2:8-10)
VII. ETERNAL SECURITY OF THE BELIEVER - We believe that saved people are saved eternally from hell’s condemnation and unto heaven’s glory. (Rom 8:1; Rom 8:38, 39; II Tim 1:12.)
VIII. KINGSHIP, SECOND COMING, AND JUDGEMENT - We believe in the Kingship of Jesus Christ. (Rev 11:15; Rev 19:11-21; I Thess 1:9,10). In the blessed hope, the personal, premillennial and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for all believers in Christ (I Thess 4: 13-18; I Cor 15:50-55; Acts 1:11; Titus 2:13.) That He must come with His saints to execute judgment upon the ungodly nations. (Jude 14,15; Matt 25:31-46.) That He will cast Satan into the abyss and establish his earthly kingdom and reign 1000 years. (Rev 19:19-20; Rev 20:1-6.)
IX. OF BAPTISM AND THE LORD'S SUPPER - We believe that scriptural baptism is the immersion in water of a believer (1) in the name of the Father, and Son and Holy Ghost (2), to show forth in a solemn and beautiful emblem our faith in the crucified, buried and risen Savior, with its effect in our death to sin and resurrection to a new life (3), that it is prerequisite to the privileges of church membership (4), and by the sacred use of bread and juice we commemorate together the dying love of Christ (5), preceded always by solemn self-examination (6). Places in the Bible Where Taught - (1). Acts 8:36-39; Matt. 3:13; John 3:22; Matt. 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38. (2). Matt. 28:19; Acts 10:47, 48 (3). Rom. 6:4; CoL 2:12. (4). X. OF CIVIL GOVERNMENT - We believe that civil govemment is of divine appointment for the interests and good order of human society (1), and that magistrates are to be prayed for, conscientiously honored and obeyed,) except only in things opposed to the will of our Lord Jesus Christ. XII. SALVATION - We believe that unless a man is born again he will not go to heaven but will go to hell. (John 3; Rom. 10:13; Rev. 21:8.) A man must repent of his sins and believe on the Lord Jesus to be saved.

XIV. TITHING - We believe that the Bible teaches that every Christian should give at least 10% of his total income to the Lord's work through the local church. Anything given above 10% is an offering. (I Cor. 16:2; Malachi 3:10; Lev. 27:30; Malt. 23:23.)

Places in the Bible Where Taught - (1) Acts 2:4-12; Acts 10:44-48, Acts 19:1 . (2) I Cor. 13:811; I Cor. 14:1-40.
Having been led, as we believe, by the spirit of God to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, we do now in the presence of God and this assembly most solemnly and joyfully enter into the covenant with one another as one body in Christ
We engage, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit to walk together in Christian love, to strive for the advancement of this church in knowledge, holiness, and comfort, to promote it prosperity and spirituality: to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline and doctrine: to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the poor and the spread of the gospel through all nations.
We also engage to maintain family and secret devotions: to teach our children the Christian truths; to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances; to walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in our dealings; to be faithful in our engagements and exemplary in our deportment; to avoid all tattling, backbiting, and excessive anger; to abstain from the sale and use of intoxicating drink as a beverage; and to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Savior.
We further engage to watch over one another in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech; to be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation and mindful of the rules of our Savior to secure it without delay. We also engage that when we remove from the place we will as soon as possible unite with some other church where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word.
